Google Brand Studio

The Brand Studio is a multidisciplinary team of marketers, social and insights specialists, creatives, producers, and strategy and operations experts who are focused on building the Google Brand. As an Interactive Producer, I was responsible for managing two brand initiatives centered on Internet Safety and Digital Wellbeing

Be Internet Awesome

Produced a 7,000sq ft interactive exhibit and 3-day activation in San Antonio, TX teaching kids about online safety and digital citizenship. School groups, families and educators explored 5 “Pillars” of the Be Internet Awesome program through interactive and playful game zones. Deeplocal was our creative technology partner who managed the engineering and build of the experience.

Role: I led content development, experiential game design, and fabrication, ensuring game content, Google brand, and user experience goals were accurately translated. I also produced photo documentation and marketing videos with our agency partner, LOMA Media

Impact: On Safer Internet Day (Feb. 5) Google hosted a panel discussion “Together for a Better Internet” with national organizations and state representatives. The participation of local and state key opinion formers broadened the impact of the activation and the impact of Google’s commitment to internet safety and digital citizenship in Texas.

An educator’s kit of Be Internet Awesome workshop materials was a prized component of the National Parent Teacher’s Association national award program. The colorful branding and delightful “internaught” characters were woven throughout the physical materials and packaging.

Role: I sourced and hired production agency, Orchid Creation and oversaw the design and production of the kits from inception to launch. I also produced an animated unboxing video to tease the kit for the awards program.

Digital Wellbeing

In 2019, Google launched new Digital Wellbeing website to help people find a balance with technology. The goal of the redesign was to re-contextualize Google’s commitment to digital wellbeing through actionable goals, tips and inspirational videos featuring on-the-street interviews and expert advice from the leading researchers in the field. Product tips and resources were distilled into an interactive self-evaluation tool and a family discussion guide.

Role: I managed the redesign of the website, coordinating between Product and Marketing Managers and our agency partner, Instrument on the development of the interactive evaluation tool, production of lifestyle photos, and 5 full-length videos. Much of this content remains on the on the Android website
